Calendar of Events

No matter what the season, there is always something going on in the City of Appleton City . Keeping our residents informed of scheduled events and local happenings is important.

City Council meeting will be held on February 13th at 7:00pm at the City Park Building.

Town Hall meetings for the proposed Use tax and Fire Dept. tax will be February 6th and 13th at 6pm at the Park Building and also March 5th and 19th.

Golden Apples over 50 Social Club

What?  Dinner, fellowship and fun!!

When?  Every Thursday from 4:30pm to 7pm ish...

Where?  The Park Building at Forest Park.

Who?  Anyone over the age of 50.  

There is no cost as the Golden Apples are a 503c entity and work mostly off of grants and donations.  Donations are greatly appreciated!!!

 

MU Extension events and webinars!

MU Extension will be hosting a 1 hour webinar for their Sheep and Goat Monthly Webinar series.  The topic will be  Guardian Dogs for Sheep & Goats "All You Need to Know".  February guest speaker is Linda Coffey, a Livestock Specialist from the National Center for Appropriate Technology in Fayetteville, AR.  Don't miss this free opporunity!!  Registration required.

MU Extension Workshop

Begins: 2/29/2024 - 3:00pm

American Lamb consumer and Producer Workshop!  3-7pm at the First Baptist Church in Oceola, 555 Walnut Street.  Cost is Adult-$10.00 and Student-$5.00 and includes a lamb burger dinner.  Registration is limited to 40 individuals so get yours in today!!
